French Press
The French Press, also known as a cafetière or coffee plunger, is probably the most underrated method of brewing coffee. It is cheap, easy, repeatable and very easy for coffee beginners to make tasty freshly brewed coffee.
Because a French Press yields coffee that isn’t filtered through paper, it has the hearty “that’s rich
coffee” quality that French Press enthusiasts so admire.
The most important aspect of a French Press is that it uses a coarse grind size of coffee - which is easily achievable even on budget grinders or even blade choppers (chutney-makers) found in an Indian kitchen.
It is the perhaps one of few brewing methods which is well suited to all roast levels and varieties of coffee - from light to dark roasts and from fruity to nutty salted caramel coffees.
